In this video we installed a ceiling in the shop. The plan is to eventually insulate everything to keep it warm during the winter months. We used 7/16 inch osb plywood for the ceiling, painting it white to make it look a little cleaner. Be sure to hit the subscribe button if you like what you’re seeing. Order Birdies raised beds: https://growepic.co/3gJ2vrH Raised garden beds are the #1 method I currently use to grow a ton of healthy, epic produce in my garden. But I made A TON of mistakes when I started my raised bed garden, so I figured I’d share them with you so you can hopefully learn from my mistakes instead of making them yourself.

A few good soil mixes:
– 1/3 perlite, 1/3 coco coir, 1/3 compost
– 1/2 topsoil, 1/4 compost, 1/4 grass clippings, straw, leaves, etc.

Some of the most successful kitchen gardeners use this simple technique to save seeds and control seedling growth. It’s thrifty and smart gardening in one.

Though online seed companies are open, many are backlogged, overwhelmed with orders, or out of stock. It’s made getting a hold of seeds, plants, and plug plants very challenging. Just a few days ago I tried to place an order with a British seed company and after filling my cart discovered, to my disappointment, that they’d disabled their payment page. What a nightmare.

It made me realize that stretching out what we have is going to be more important than ever this year. Seeds are becoming a commodity and every one is precious. That’s why I’d like to share how I grow the vast majority of my vegetable garden seedlings. It saves money, makes gardening more successful, and helps you produce bigger harvests using fewer seeds.

Towards the end of the video, I also share my new Vegepod patio raised bed. It’s also proving to be an efficient way to grow your own, even in smaller spaces. If you decide you’d like one, you can get a free winter cover if you use the code lovelygreens (UK customers only) https://bit.ly/2Y083mi **
