Oxalis triangularis, also known as Purple Shamrock, is a strikingly gorgeous and simple plant to care for, provided you know what it needs. This is the ‘Ebony Allure’ variety from Josh’s Frogs. Something many people don’t know about the shamrock plant is that it’s EDIBLE in small amounts, often used as a garnish on salads. The corms beneath the soil surface are also edible and are much sweeter than the leaves.

Dragonfruit, or pitahaya, is incredibly easy to propagate from cuttings. It’s a fast rooter and once established will grow like crazy. It’s been two weeks since my last video and during that time we’ve been away exploring Switzerland. That doesn’t mean that all was quiet in the home garden though. Over six full days, new pea gravel paths were installed around the raised beds and the walk from the gate to the greenhouse.
