Ljubezen do sonaravnega vrtnarjenja želita približati mladim in vsem vrtnarjem poenostaviti vrtnarjenje.

GROW PORTULACA/MOSS ROSE/PURSLANE FROM CUTTINGS
DAIZZ’S TIP:-Portulaca/Moss rose is a perennial plant. It flowers profusely from spring till the start of winters. In winters, when sun does not show up, it would just go dormant; you can leave it there for the next season – it would not bloom but still would have green foliage. Once the spring hits, it would again start new growth and flowering.

How to Grow Bitter Melon From Seeds at Home
DAIZZ’S TIP:-Soaking seeds for 24 hours in water before sowing will also help.Sow seeds 1 inch deep. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground or in the containers but only when the risk of frost has passed, and the soil warms up enough. Seeds require the temperature above 70 F (20 C) for germination.

In temperate regions, best seed sowing time is summer, usually between late April to May. Whereas in tropics (USDA Zone 10, 11), you can start seeds anytime.

Growing tomatoes can get quite complicated, but if you break it back down to the basics, they’re actually not that challenging! Today we’ll tackle one of the scarier moments in your tomato’s life…transplanting.

After starting tomato seeds and hardening them off, it’s time to put your tomato plant in the ground. There are 100+ different ways to do this, and everyone has their own “trick.” I like to keep it pretty simple:

– Plant deep
– Fertilize the planting hole
– Water in well

It’s the long Easter weekend and many of us are out in our vegetable gardens. I’m up early to beat the sun and show you a few things in today’s video. We begin with picking fresh lemon balm and brewing it into a simple, and delicious, herbal tea. That’s followed by picking purple sprouting broccoli and sowing radish seeds.

We finish up today with a look around my allotment garden followed by a tour of the entire site to see what’s growing. I love seeing what other allotmenteers are growing on their plots and I hope you find as much inspiration as I have.

Next week we’ll be back to the tomato growing series and my seed-sown plants are headed out to the greenhouse. Tune in next week to follow their story.

As for you, what have you been up to in the garden over Easter weekend? Let me know as a comment below.

If you’re in the USA and would like to grow Purple Sprouting Broccoli, I’ve found a good guide to help you choose a variety for your region. Visit: http://bit.ly/2IVVyAF
