If you have an aloe vera plant, you’ll eventually find it growing babies. Lots of babies! Aloe vera pups can be removed from the parent plant and then potted on to make new plants and this video will show you how I do it.

I have several aloe vera plants that I use for handmade skincare and for first aid. With the annual Seed & Plant Share coming up I decided it was time to pot up my extra aloe vera pups so that I can give them away to others.

Aloe vera is well known for its use in treating burns, sunburns, and insect bites. It’s also a natural astringent that can be blended into handmade lotions and creams.

This Gardening DIY project involves:
✽ Teasing and cutting the aloe vera babies (called pups) from the parent plant
✽ Allowing the plants to dry at room temperature and out of direct sunlight for 1-2 days
✽ Planting into a potting mix with good drainage — perlite or grit mixed into multipurpose compost or use cactus compost
✽ Though I do water my plants a little bit after potting on the official recommendation is to wait a few days before watering.

✽ The plants will begin to grow new roots and leaves and can get as big as the mother plant within a couple of years.

GROW CORIANDER/CILANTRO/DHANIYA AT HOME -FAST N EASY METHOD-WITH 45 DAYS FULL UPDATES…:)
DAIZZ’S TIP:-Coriander/Cilantro is a highly aromatic herb that is used to enhance the flavor of many South-East Asian and Mexican cuisines and as a dressing to improve the appearance of meal served. Most of the people tend to think that cilantro is one of the most difficult herbs to grow but that’s not true. However, it is little but easy to grow if you follow the way of growing coriander/cilantro.
Choosing a Pot
Mostly people choose too shallow pots for growing cilantro but that’s a mistake. Similar to dill, cilantro needs a pot that is deep and wide. For growing cilantro in a pot, choose one that is 10-12 inches wide and at least 10-12 inches deep

Best Cilantro Planting Time
Start growing cilantro once all the dangers of frost are passed. You can grow cilantro successively from spring to fall. In warm temperates and much hotter regions.you can grow cilantro in winters too. Cilantro can tolerate light frost easily. Below the zone 8, in much cooler regions, you can grow cilantro in cold frames and overwinter it.

In hot tropical climate , coriander/cilantro grows best in fall and winter. However, it can be grown year round in such climates as in many tropical countries fresh cilantro leaves are available throughout the year but you’ll need to cope with the bolting problem. You may need to harvest quickly and provide shade in spring and summer.
SOWING TEMPERATURE-10-27 DEGREE CELSIUS (50-78F)

After completing their studies in 2013, Robert Špiler and Tjaša Štruc, decided to build a little house on a forest clearing. In addition they established a food garden and at the age of 22 began to live their simple life, hand in hand with the Mother Nature.

They combine Tjaša’s academic knowledge (MA in Biology and Ecology) and Robert’s practical work in the gardens throughout Slovenia.

On my recent travels in Mexico City, I stumbled upon a picture-perfect permaculture paradise in La Roma district. It’s called Huerto Roma Verde. There were so many different projects at work I couldn’t even film them all, but most interesting was the interplay of all of the systems.

It was a truly self-sustaining system right in the heart of an urban center like Mexico City. They had bathrooms, a bar, shop, hospital, full composting systems, and dozens upon dozens of raised beds.

One garden job that I do every January is cleaning up my overgrown strawberry patch. In summer the plants spread and send out runners in every direction. If you don’t keep on top of them, the strawberry bed can turn into a tangled mess. Strawberry bed maintenance is key to keeping it healthy and flushed with fresh berries.

In summer, I let my plants root in the bed, but tend to cut runners off around the edges. The masses of leaves can protect the bed during the coldest parts of the winter. Come late-winter, I give my overgrown strawberry patch a good clean. It’s a lot easier to do than you’d think.

If you’re in a colder region, wait until early spring to do this job. Strawberry plants will have a better chance of survival if they’re protected with a thatch of leaves and spent mulch.

Also on the agenda: clearing two rows of strawberry plants in order to plant new bare-root plants. These need to be planted in the winter, when they’re dormant. Replacing plants every three years with new plants keeps berry production high. You can do this with bare-root plants, purchased potted plants, or from new plants created from runners.
