HOW TO GROW/PROPAGATE CROWN OF THORNS/EUPHORBIA MILII FROM CUTTINGS AT HOME -FAST N SIMPLE METHOD

DAIZZ’S TIP-
Put on your gloves and take a 5 to 6 inch cutting from the tip of a stem that has leaves on it. Leafless stems won’t root. Remove all but the top one or two leaves from the cutting.

Dip the cut end of the stem in hot water to stop the flow of sap. Spray the cut stem on the mother plant with water.

let it form callous for 2-3 days/let it dry for 2-3 days

Fill a small pot with potting mix . Make a hole 2 inches deep in the center of the medium with a pencil.

Put the cut end of the cutting in the hole to a depth of 2 inches. Firm the medium around the cutting so that it stands up straight.

Moisten the soil with water and discard any excess water that collects in the saucer under the pot.

Place the potted cutting in a location with bright but indirect sunlight.

Add water to the pot when the top 2 inches of the soil is dry.

Repot the cutting into a larger pot using a potting soil designed for cacti and succulents after it roots. When the cutting roots it will begin to grow, and you will feel resistance when you give the stem a gentle upward tug.

The 31st of October isn’t Halloween on the Isle of Man – it’s Hop tu Naa. It’s not a night for scaring away evil spirits but for celebrating the end of summer, the season’s harvests, and the beginning of the Celtic new year. There are similarities between the traditions of both but with subtle differences – one being that turnips are carved into jack-o-lanterns, not pumpkins.

Not only do they last longer, but ‘Moots’ can look very scary. Like shrunken heads!

It’s a tough job to hollow Moot’ out by hand so this video should help anyone looking for a quicker and easier way. Instead of spending over an hour chipping away at the inside with a spoon, use my method which only took me six minutes.

The materials you need for this project are below. The links for each will take you to where you can get them on Amazon. They’re affiliate links so I make a small commission if you choose to purchase (thank you!)

Growing hibiscus from cutting is fairly simple. Take woody cuttings from gudhal (hibiscus) plant and make a cut the nodes. Dip this portion in a glass of water to propagate the stem into new plant. This will take about 3 weeks to develop roots. Once the roots are out, bury the cutting in soil.Within a month’s period the propagated plant will start flowering.

If you’ve ever thought you just “can’t grow plants” because you have a huge brown thumb, then I have a surprise for you….

Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, or the “ZZ plant”, is the plant for you! It’s almost like it was designed for new gardeners that tend to kill plants. It’s one of the hardiest houseplants you’ll come across, making it the perfect choice for a beginner gardener.

In this guide, we’ll take a look at the incredibly easy to care for Zamioculcas zamiifolia, more commonly referred to simply as the ZZ plant.

I touch on ZZ plant propagation as well, as you’ll probably want more of these babies in your home.

HOW TO GROW PLANTS FROM CUTTINGS WITHOUT ANY ROOTING HORMONE AT HOME ..FAST N EASY METHOD
-IN THIS VIDEO I AM GROWING COLEUS FROM CUTTING PROPAGATION
DAIZ’S TIP:-choose a branch without a bloom or bud at the top. Cut directly below a leaf node, so the cutting is 4–6 inch long. Cut off the leaves growing from these lowest nodes, or they will rot when buried.Plant each cutting in its own, small, indoor pot. Use a rich, well-draining potting soil, and moisten it before planting. If the soil is not loose enough to push the cutting into directly, use a pencil to create a hole for it.

I’ve gotten this question so many times that it’s about time I answer it on the channel! When growing in a Deep Water Culture (DWC) system, many people write in and ask, “Where should the bottom of my net pots be in relation to the nutrient reservoir?”

It’s a good question, and the answer is pretty simple…so watch and find out!

Ljubezen do sonaravnega vrtnarjenja želita približati mladim in vsem vrtnarjem poenostaviti vrtnarjenje.

I’m about to shatter your childhood illusions. You know those creamy pumpkin pies you chow down into each Thanksgiving? Well, it turns out there’s no real “pumpkin” in them in at all.https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=LDP_vWCobCY&show_mt=1&ar=1

Recently, I was researching the best pumpkin varieties for eating when I decided to look into Libby’s pumpkin purée. It has great flavor and is what most people use to make pumpkin pie. What variety is it that they use though? I was more than a little surprised to find out that it’s actually a squash.

The Dickinson Select squash more closely resembles a butternut squash than a traditional pumpkin. It’s a trademarked variety so you can’t buy seeds to grow it yourself. That got me to thinking though — what would a pie made with butternut squash taste like? It turns out that it tastes exactly like a delicious pumpkin pie.

Here’s my recipe: https://lovelygreens.com/2017/10/pumpkin-pie-made-with-butternut-squash.html
